i thought the egr stayed in place with the blanking plate.it does on a FL2 anyhow

apparently the SD4 does not have swirl flaps and were deleted on the TD4 in 2010 folks

i replaced the inlet manifold on my 2007 vehicle because of this but i,m sure the mechanic told me at the time yjere was a different manifold you could get now but it would need work on the ecu

it is a ticking time bomb if they havn,t addressed the problem in newer models

yhis is why i asked the question because theres a grey area as to weather you can run them without flaps or not

yes thats what happened on my last FL2 How big a job is it to have the manifold taken off and checked and cleaned out now and again

would they be the silly plastic ones that become brittle and break off or will that problem have been sorted out do you think ??

Hi yes the oil leak was fixed by the garage that sold it me but i took it to local Main dealers for a rumbling noise in the front and the hand brake sorting out only for the to find the front transfer unit was shot so they fitted a new unit under the warranty also supposedly did the hand brake...

its going back in for investigation
