Mine was down on power, wouldn't rev out, wouldn't do over 50mph. Quite scary on the M6... I'd spilled some oil topping it up and it went down one of the plug holes, it did eventually sort itself but I replaced the 2 plug leads and now take more care topping up

The mot garage didn't know how they worked and pulled them out by hand on mine I didn't like the noises they made when I reset them :(

Mine wasn't extensive, one tank with it fitted, did the clutch and left the prop off and got the same result, however 0.29mpg is very minimal and as you say, probably the weight

I like your thinking, the tyres are identical but I removed the prop during the clutch change and left it off as my repair was leaking

I've actually calculated it, reset trip and fill up and I get 26mpg with or without a prop

I've considered something similar but not given it much thought, I used the defender twin filament bulb holder to move the rear lights around and that made a massive improvement, side lights high up on the outer edge of the car, not inboard and low down
