does the fact that its a 300 tdi have any relavence? on the 300tdi the fuel injectors sit on the top... I know the military switched to the side mount as the extra weight of the tyre on the bonnet off road could cause the bonnet to impact the fuel injectors and damage them?

ok worst case scenario engine mount distorted, weld partially snapped, causing engine corner to drop by an inch, pushing filter and housing against mount. filter is jammer on so cant tell if its filter or housing yet. does anyone know if oil filter system on a 300 tdi is the same as a 200 tdi?

where did you get the felt from?

the roof heading in my 90 has seen better days, i have taken it out and powerwashed it, which has helped to some extent. Its structurally sound, but just a bit stained and tatty. has anyone ever tried dying theres with a black dye? if so, what did they use, how did it work? Cheers Jonny
