Just read this on another forum: Td5 ecu - waterproofing?? Has anyone on here tried this and can it really be that easy??

I am not sure you will find a roll cage to 'replace' the hood hoops as they serve separate purposes. Most internal cages also only protect the cab area and not the rear tub. Something like this would probably be a bespoke design, but still needs the rear hoops to support the hood...

Didn't actually need any additional bolts?? Just bolted onto what is already there.

I have been looking at doing this for some time too, and this is probably a stupid question, but how do you waterproof the joint/connection between the existing ECU plug and the new extension cable, as surely if you get water ingress on this, it is just the same as getting water onto the actual...

Have you tried Adrian Flux, just renewed with them for £190 on an 03 Defender with all Mods etc declared.

Another thumbs up for the richmond ones, had mine about 18 months and they had stood up to all sorts abuse. Yes the powder coating on the outside outer edges has been scraped off in places, but then the nearly 2 tonnes of landy scraping along solid granite boulders :screaming_bug_eye_f, I guess...
