Dual Odyssey batteries for split charge system

Given where you are going I would actually be tempted to go for the Odyssey batteries. I have recently replaced a numax with an odyssey and the odyssey is a much better battery, but then it is more than twice the price. If it was just for UK use I would say stick with the Numax or even...

Pics of your landy stuck or failing

Me stuck in a lane following a recent landslide, it dosen't look too bad, but there was about a 2 foot depth of totally saturated soft squidgy soil from the hedge across the full width of the lane for a length of about 10m, had to winch myself through it, whilst pulling half of the landslide...

    Isle of man laning

I spent 6 long years living and working in the Isle of Man but that was before my interest in Land Rovers and Green Laning was developed, so I cannot help in that respect, but I think it was LRO that did the Green Lanes and yes there was mention of a permit being needed for 'one' section. I...

    Air filters & egr kits

But isn't that the point of the K&N ones as they allow greater airflow to the engine whereas the cheaper paper ones restrict the flow of air and effectively suffocate the engine, thereby limiting performance??? Or am I being thick??

    Waffle boards

I just leave mine lying flat in the rear tub, but they only just fit between the rear bulkhead and and the back door, so they don't move around at all. Nice and easy to get at when you need them as well - other than a large chocolate labrador lying on top of them

    removable winches

Save your money, these ad-ons are only gimmicks on what is only a cheap winch, get yourself a half decent winch such as Goodwinch or superwinch etc, they don't cost much more but are way more reliable.

    alternative to waffle boards

Don't confuse sand ladders with Waffle Boards either, sand ladders are off very little use in the UK unless you are stuck on beach.

    alternative to waffle boards

Still does not make them an alternative to waffle boards, about as effective as hesian sacks.

    alternative to waffle boards

These serve a completely different purpose to waffle boards, these are no good for off road or even green lane use. Yes fine for snow and ice on a surfaced road, but that is about it.
