The bearings are the originals so they've done nearly 14 years. Not bad!!

I'm guessing that when the VCU support bearing rubbers are starting to perish like this, they should be changed? With a OWUT result of around 55 seconds, maybe I should do the VCU while I'm at it?

Ended up buying a set from ebay, made by G-Plus in China. £64 for a 5 hose kit including clamps. Good quality and a good fit without having to do any alterations. Bargain!!

The heat out here in sunny Spain has perished the rubber gasket/seal which goes between the bodywork and the tailgate handle. Anybody know if the seal can be purchased separately or is it only available as part of the handle? Thanks in advance.

Are the T-clamps needed or will stainless jubilee clamps do the trick?
