When you fit a swing-away make sure you adjust it properly otherwise when you shut the door you have the added weight of the carrier as well as the wheel.

I put some brake fluid in mine and hey presto no leak, apparently it causes the seals to expand re-sealing them, been like it now for about 30,000 miles and no probs

Could it be leaking rear wheel cylinder, the fluid mixing with brake dust and it only looks like grease.

Could it be CV joint?

I Had one go because the door had weakened where it was drilled for the rear wiper, then I had another one go when a road roller pushed me off an un finished road in Mongolia, still driving round with a piece of wood in its place. Lee

Trewy offered to help me out with a couple when mine stripped, ended up welding them, welded 4 strips along the shaft and then hammered the drive flanges in place with a really big hammer then welded round the flange to stop the shaft pulling out. Lee

Got mine from Silverline in Warwick West Mids, they delivered 6 wheels and tyres and a set of new wheel nuts to me in France for £1000,00. I know some people have slated them on here but they were good to me.

All depends on the profile of the tyre mate the 205 is just the width of tread.

To be fair they were just about as big as you can go as standard, your 235's are probably about the same height as my 285's were because your are 85 section and mine were 75 section.

Started with 285/75x16 mud tyres, changed to 275/75x16 road bias tyres. They are fitted to 8 inch rims that pull the beads wide that seems to make them a slightly lower profile if that makes any sense, whilst they were changing them a I put new against old and the new were definately smaller...

Have yet to find out what mine now does to the gallon after changing the tyres, hoping it will be about the same as now have another gear to go at. Personally I don't drive quicker than 50mph if anything more likely to be going at 40

Mine is painted as a zebra, whilst driving through China I carried a Chinese flag, everybody thought it was reaaly good never had a negative comment, in fact I believe that the fact the car stands out so much is a real bonus, people just want to talk including police and customs officials...
