    Have taken shed loads of piccies, didn't think anyone would be interested though. It's always been our intention to stay in Oz, in fact we applied for our visa 3 years ago, still waiting for answer, could still get a negative response. As for the piccies if people want I can start a thread...

    Yeah currently in Borneo for 2 weeks, although heading back to Kuala Lumpur tomorrow, we're having to wait for results from the medicals for the Oz visas, nice part of the world to stuck but costing a fortune, just want to get moving again.

    Looking alittle closer at your first piccie the fixing is offset from the pivot, mine is directly behind it so would need a bit of bracing

    Not doubting its strength Buster just saying that mines different. Although when the door is slammed shut there is still a fair amount of weight being pushed against the door and personally feel that a couple of plates do help to spread that load. Horses for courses i suppose. Lee

    Mine is much more substantial than that with 2 plates as already mentioned, I swapped mine from 1 door to another without any probs.

    The only other option you have is to make the carrier with the plate in place, close the door and usin a very short pencil mark a couple of holes, then dismantle the plate start drilling and fix it in place, be sure to adjust the stop properly once you're done, fit good washers inside to stop...
