They all seem to have a slightly Sharp edge, and the wear pattern is over the entire gear instead of a nice spot in the middle?

Given the state of the selectors, reverse and I broke some teeth on the 5th gear on mainshaft (the rings at the back) Am I better off sourcing a recon box? I want to rebuild this myself but don't have unlimited pockets!

According to ashcroft the early gearboxes were weak? Is it worth me rebuilding this one now that It needs gears? Only asking for an opinion as you seem to know your way around these gearboxes! Thanks again for the help

Anyone? Edit last post didn't show until I posted! Glad to hear that! Are there any other differences I should be aware of? Atleast I know where I stand now with it!
