    I've always been very careful and never let it go above the normal temp lines - fingers crossed it's not...I'm gonna attempt to try and change the p gasket and a new water pump today :))

    He put some blue stuff in a big test tube and wedged it in to the header tank and pumped it (it looked kinda sexual) but apparently it checks for ex hurst gasses in the water or something! Lol

    My mate tested the head gasket today that's all ok :) new thermostat fitted but still no hot air, so now I'm gonna change the water pump can hear the bearings in there rattling around! (Still doesn't explain where my waters been going)

    I have read that a closed/blocked thermostat would cause back pressure of steam and so consequently water loss, think I'm gonna take thermostat out (and freeze in the winter months)

    Unbelievable ain't it?? (I don't even bother protecting my no claims anymore cos all they can take off you after an accident is 2 years) - I've no intension of making a claim! In fact why do we bother with insurance? If you get caught you only get a £300 fine and 6 points!
