My understanding is that the engine shouldn't stall - read this - http://auto.howstuffworks.com/under-the-hood/vehicle-maintenance/how-to-test-torque-converter.htm The speed that the engines settles at when under load like that is the 'stall speed' which needs to be compared with manufacturers...

Is that the setting for Automatic - i.e. triggered by rain sensors, with the speed determined by the amount of water on the screen? That's how it is on my Freelander 2 HSE. Pete

I have an old sender in an empty tank and it seems to read about 45 ohm with the tank upside down ( i.e. float at the top = full) and 120 ohm with the tank the right way up (float at the bottom = empty). I hope this helps! Pete
