    Problem with anti roll bar

To be fair there is no technical issue with towing, like you say a lot of defenders don't have arb's anyway, once lifted though they get a bit boaty, add to that a big slab sided caravan and I think I would be a little concerned, it may be OK and if you are experienced it should be fine but I...

    Have they been lifted?

    Problem with anti roll bar

If you are towing a caravan you need to keep the ARB's on, will be out right dangerous towing a caravan with no ARB's. You could devise a quick release fitting if you wanted maximum off road ability, I believe X-Eng or someone similar do a remote release one...

    LEZ Station wago conversion.

Not true, IF you can convince DVLA it has been converted then it can be re-registered, I had a similar issue with converting a Panel VW van to a camper van, it basically ended up having to send loads of pictures of all the modifications along with documented proof that these had been done (i.e...

    2.4 TDCi Puma 2011

Thats a Dormobile conversion, mainly carried out on VW's but they do lots of other vehicles, not actually that hard to do yourself...

    bigger intercooler on a 300tdi

I wouldn't say its pointless but there are better modifications to start with and an increased capacity intercooler isn't really needed till these mods are done... think your getting confussed on what an IC does, it only cools the air, fitting a larger IC won't actually increase airflow...

    I need a sunroof sealant .

Sikaflex or tiger seal, both will do the job, neither will budge once dry, both will stick to the hairs on your arms and never give up...

    Piggy-back fuseholders

The real problem I see with these is running to much power through original wiring. Most looms are spec'd up to whatever they are running, whack another 10 amps through it and the wires will start to get very hot and melt....

    bobtail or not...

looking very good, have you thought about doing a 200TDi front end though? The 300 seems to loose indicators and lights with the slightest rush of water...

Yet another MOT Failure but nearly all solutions found but a few questions

Personally for £130 I would get the screen fitted, the seal will be £40-50 and you need to either know what your doing or be prepared for lots of swearing as you try to string it in...

    Scared Sh*tless!

+2 on that diagnosis, I had a rear bearing weld its race onto the stub axle on the rear of my 'fender, went in an instant. Check all bearings and regrease, dont forget to check inner bearings aswell...

    Will a v8 exhaust go onto a td5?

It will although not to a point you will notice too much difference, its not so essential on turbo cars as the pulse-pull affect is pretty much lost after the turbo anyway....

    Will a v8 exhaust go onto a td5?

Not true I'm afraid, bore size is very important, exhausts are tuned to each engine and unless someone has worked out whats what then changing from this system will usually result in a decrease of power (changing silencers is generally OK, its all about bore size and exhaust gas velocity)...

I am in no rush at the moment, is it still in braintree? Will see what Bizgsi is doing with these steering rods and if he wants mine, if not I will try to organise a night I will pop over (unless you come this way first). Cheers

    Painting axles

Red oxide paint is OK, the steel industry would have moved away from it even if the lead wasn't baned as better, more advanced solutions are available with the advances in modern chemistry. There are better options available than the red oxides but they are still ok for home use. As has been...

Where abouts are you based? I have got a set of standard steering arms for a 300TDi setup sitting in my container, I can bring them home to colchester if you wanted them? Think they are all pretty good still, what I took off when I got HD bars...
