was taking my son to his work this morning,and thought thats around 500 miles in the disco without any problems,got to be a record...:) then he opened door to get out and could hear a loud clunk:eek: popped bonnet and steering pump pulley was about off:( ah well at least its weekend ..phoned...

just to recap on this thread,started being a **** to start again,wouldnt start in morning unless jump started and needed a good wind over to start up,having seized ny work van toaday ,thought i better fix the disco and use it for work,fitted a new starter and a new heavy duty battery,now starts...

try loosning the nut and pulling wheel off first ,mine came of easy enough without pullers,just a good tug loosened it ..

lost count..been banned twice due to totting up,mostly when was younger and had race spec minis,got 12 at moment,am just an unlucky bastard,and picking up my new golf gti turbo tommorow so it may go up..

one on gearbox and one on transfer box,also one on fuel tank,but fuel tank one i just cut bend off origonal one pushed in new pipe(fitted snug)and pushed up a piller inside wheel arch,never used the two way adapters,just ran 4 separate pipes upto manifold then one up the snorkel took about 30...

seat belt mounts tie bars done mine today after bodylifting,what a pain in the arse,but then most things are when your lying on your driveway.lol

fitted wading kit to disco and started on the chequer plate boot floor..

i just ordered mine from ebay under 25.00 delivered inc two wading plugs and all breatherssomething to fit at weekend hopefully

just to recap on this ,paypal refunded my money today thankfully,but the guy is still a tosser.

thinking starter is on way out..heres the symtoms turns over as if the engine is tight,sometimes it will crank fast,but usually it cranks like bettery is flat, its getting a bugger to start usually have to jump it,and i put a new battery in december,changed glow plugs today but old ones were...

the guy defo had a silver subaru according to his posts on scoobynet,maybe just coincidence right enough and from birmingham
