does anyone know offhand what lenth and size of bolts needed to fit a steering gaurd to a 300tdi got one coming but hasnt got any fittings with it. cheers:blabla:

the little red warning light came on the other day,checked the oil level in the autobox it was a little low,so topped it up and its still on..not too sure what else to check,still drives and changes ok no weird noises or anything,it does flicker slightly when going over bumpy ground..could it...

8 inch will be ok pretty sure they are usually only 7" on standard alloys.

depends if your going to do them yourself or get garage to do,there not dear to buy under a tenner each,there is a link on how to fit them if you do a search..

pretty easy mate just unbolts from door abit of a wiggle and comes out,two 8mm bolts on the window rail that holds glass done mine last week only took about half hour,but my rail is ferked that holds glass and doesnt hold glass so still falls down lol.

probably your front uj on the prop..

i have 245 75 16 on my disco 1 only had to trim the front bumper end caps doesnt rub anywhere else..

mot tester did mine it was a pain in the arse,took him about 20 mins came out easy enough but was a pain to get back in..take it to halfords do they not fit your bulbs if you buy them there...

i have an egr blankin plate i bought it for mine and noticed there was one fitted already.. you can have it if you want it although all it is,is a bit of thin metal cut to the shape,i am pretty sure you can just undo the bolts at manifold end lift it up and stick a two pence peice in and tighten...

mine was doing this and making a chirping squeeking noise,was the front prop uj joint changed it and all good now..

i have a 98 auto use it offroad tow a trailer most days loaded,and find its ok had a manual before was abit better on fuel but like the auto better and feel its better offroad aswell..

theres usually some on ebay..

i am going to order new ones just to be safe as i need it for work,are they easy enough to fit or do they need pressed in and out.

had a strange loud chirping noise coming from front end today,sending vibrations through the cab,was a cluncking coming when starting to reverse aswell,was noticable when accelerating,but never really done it when i was driving it home. went out and checked ujs on prop but too be honest wasnt...

mot time ...eeek..how come you always expect the worst..took it in to see how bad it was going to be,all that was wrong was both rear wheel bearings rough and a couple of bulbs...result fitted bearings and got a years ticket,happy as a pig in ****.:D
