Good point, but the two different tyres should have a similar diameter so should be minimal, although this may account for some of the drop. But surely if the tyres are nearly the same in diameter, there shouldnt be any effect on the amount of throttle that is required. I might just...

How cold is it where you are? If it's down to around -15 it's possible diesel freezing, altough I have had mine down to below -20 and started straight away after standing for a few days. It's not something to do with the imobiliser is it. Do you have a good battery in your fob?
