    Why so expensive?

im glad they hold their value to be honest, but it is true, i drove to my local town and as i sat in the car eating my lunch, everyone was walking past and turning round to look at my truck, like it was something exotic!! I just wish that the price of fuel wasnt going through the roof!!

Does this sound normal after the swap?

yeah i guess, its just when i spoke to some of the guys on here who had swapped from the same old tyres i had to even MTs, they generally didnt notice much at all. Chaps running 265 MTs on 110s were still getting 26-28 MPG, so i was expecting still around 30 in my 90. Maybe its just lots of...

Does this sound normal after the swap?

yeah, so it could actually be a fuel consumption increase. This is the reason i was unsure, as they are meant to be very similar diameter, but it appears the increase in MPG is 20%, which i thought was to high for the extra width. Maybe not? I think i will try the MAF sensor, as its the extra...

Does this sound normal after the swap?

so is it increasing it by what i think, or is it the fact that speedo is reading slighly inaccuratly, hence throwing the figures out? Cheers for your input

Does this sound normal after the swap?

They were 235 85 16 general Grabber TRs standard fit from new New are 265 75 16 BFG AT, So both sould have very similar diameters, i think

Does this sound normal after the swap?

Good point, but the two different tyres should have a similar diameter so should be minimal, although this may account for some of the drop. But surely if the tyres are nearly the same in diameter, there shouldnt be any effect on the amount of throttle that is required. I might just...

Does this sound normal after the swap?

So should i expect this then? You said you didnt suffer any change when you went to 265? Its a hell of a drop and one i wasnt expecting after doing alot of researching and questioning etc!

Does this sound normal after the swap?

Does this sound right? I had 4 x new BF Goodrich AT tyres fitted not that long ago. 265 75 16 on boost alloys. Over the last few tanks (fairly soon after i replaced the tyres) i have noticed a drop in mpg, down from average of 33mpg down to 26 -27 over the last few tanks, doing similar...

    TD5 engine loosing coolant.

there can be lots of places it could be leaking from, it may be evapourating staright away. Do you have anti freeze in it? Look for staining? I found a little leak from the clips where the heater in/out pipes went. Only found it due to the stains. Also just change the cap, will only cost a...

Help td5 wont start!! Urgently help needed!

How cold is it where you are? If it's down to around -15 it's possible diesel freezing, altough I have had mine down to below -20 and started straight away after standing for a few days. It's not something to do with the imobiliser is it. Do you have a good battery in your fob?

Clutch contaminated? Or going? Or slave cylinder?

Was your flywheel ok? How many miles has your truck got on it. My release baring squeels every morning, but goes after a minute and my clutch judders for the first 15 mins, after that all is well. Mine has only got 55k on it.

    Defender for towing horse trailer

i tow a 1300KG (empty) double axel ifor Williams trailer with my 90 TD5, its brilliant, and i think as the steering lock is better than a 110, its easier. You cant feel the trailer trying to move the car, it just feels a bit less powerful!

    Potential 90 csw owner questions

If you pay for a service at a garage, anything from £200 for a small job to about £450 for a bigger one (before any bits being fixed etc) New tyres anything from about £80 a tyre to £170...
