Nah - need to replace the turret. Got a whole in the back. I can turn the bolt - but the screw (and the whole shock) turn with it. It has a 8mm square head on the screw but its hard to get leverage on that.

Hello, I've read through a few posts with similar problems but still stuck. Tried removing the front shock absorber but the top bolt is completely seized. I've soaked it in WD40 but just can't get enough leverage on it. Anyone have any ideas? Its this type

hello, About to get my hands on a rear disco axle for my 90. Not 100% on a few bits Is the discovery 1 axle with 24 spline 300tdi onwards or 200tdi as well? Either way does it have the 3 bolt flange or a 4 bolt? If it’s 3, is it easy to change or worth swopping the diff? Thanks, Phil

Nah you should be fine. Reverse light is for 2009 onwards. small oil leak should be fine - depends where you go i suppose.

I'm guessing they're referring to diff lockers on the axle diffs - not standard, or really needed unless you do serious off roading. In terms of the engine - i think they moved from 2.4 to 2.2 due to emissions or something similar. As said above - i'd go the a later td5 model.

Surely with the amount of work required to do the front quarter, it would be worth doing a full chassis swap? I know a new galv isn't cheap but have you considered a second hand chassis? or maybe patching until you can afford a galv chassis
