Similar boat as me (but my Disco ain't rotten), spent nigh on £3k on the Disco, just needs a bit of welding to see her right .. but the Mrs:mad: is p'd off at spending on an old car! Even with a year's tax on her I'd be lucky to get £750, so if my hand is forced I've told her I'm breaking her up.

If funds/space allow sell the Focus, buy a decent 300TDi, then break the 200TDi to gain extra money for the newer Disco.

Finally found time to fit the genuine LR thermostat I'd bought. Turns out the c*nting indy fitted a cheap copy (if he even changed it at all, as it was rusted!) when he sorted the HG failure, even though I had specifically asked him to fit a genuine one:mad: Hopefully the coolant loss issue may...

I've had 2 Disco's and not suffered that until recently when the n/s track rod ends are looking worse for wear. BUT the 'left wander' has only surfaced after changing the o/s track rod end.

Brave/lucky man lol, you checked the injectors? (not that I know f-all about petrol engines:o) but they do seem to be a regular source of issues on them.
