That doesn't look to bad in the photos, all that was any good on mine was the frame work which was surprisingly solid to say how bad it looked, just the plates that had totaly rotted away.

What concerns me is the actual state of the pump, it's rusty as hell, I just hope disconnecting the connector doesn't damage the inlet/outlet pipes. Unfortunately the weather is terrible at the moment so will have to wait until we get a dry day. Thanks for the help so far guys. :)

Thanks, but yes I've been tapping the pump that's located in the drivers side rear wheel arch area :)

Yep tried tapping the pump but that did nothing. I have seen a new pump for £100, but don't want spend that just yet in case it was an overlook on my part on something simple. I've checked all the fuses and they look fine. If someone confirm that the pump should fire up at the same time as...

Hi My 2001 Td4 Auto also has a grumble from the transmission at the front when cornering right, it's done this since I've had it which is just over a year. The noise isn't as noticeable when it's up to normal running temperature, hence why I never noticed it on the test drive as the previous...

In my experience an Auto goes through pads quicker than a manual car.

Think I'd go for the top one for the money.
