Nope, it's no good. Looks like a nut is going to get welded on. Bollocks! This is my first Landy, and I've replaced quite alot of kit now and this is the first nut that has come close to defeating me. I really hope the the one is ok.....
I'm planning on patching mine with 3mm all round. Mostly side Walls but will be using the same on the underside. Planning on doing it at the weekend, so I'll keep you all posted. I'll try to get piccys too!
You need to be aware though, if the nut is properly seized these irwins will round your nut off COMPLETEY. I've got a seized nut on my brake calipers and the irwin set has rounded it off totally. My problem is that I cannot get anything else onto it. Hope you have better luck!!
I guess that as you've looked everywhere else, the only thing left is maybe the ignition switch it's self maybe faulty. I've never heard of one failing before but I might be worth a try?
Any probs opening the door from the inside? Could just be the linkage to the lock pully uppy thingy ( technical talk ) is slightly catching and needs adjusting. Or the mechanism is buggered. Cheap to replace though.
Has anyone ever seen an extractor? I can't get mine off, no matter what I try. I spoke to my local landy salvager and he reckons they've never had to use one. Advice please !
We go through a lot at the forge, but Bosch outlast anything else. Quality discs do make a difference. We got a bunch or DeWalts, thinking that they would be at least as good as Bosch right? Wrong. They suck, and are expensive.
