I've got a seeping oil leak from the seal between the bell housing and engine block. Any ideas which seal may have gone and if so what do I have to do to stop the dam thing :/ I am a little concerned that its going to affect my clutch if that is going inside the bell housing

Got the thing off!! Put new pads in and replaced the drive flange on both side. This side got a new wheel bearing too. Other side was done a month back. It took some map gas and butane and two paire of hands to keep the 3 studs hot while a big hammer and chisel was used tonl knock it off. It...

I have been tempted, but tbh I'm not quite sure what to do ha! Where do i cut to leave the bolt shanks intact. I have got a pair of replacement heavy duty flanges ready to go on. And Bolts too of course :cool2:

Dont have a welder..... Did try a bit of propane on it. But I can obvs heat all 3 of them at the same time so its not hugely effective. Might have to give it another go though.

Here we go. Some piccys of what im dealing with. As you can see the flange is sitting slightly proud.

There are 5 bolts that hold the drive flange onto the hub, but 3 of them the heads have snapped clean off. 2 came out fine. I used an angle grinder to clean up the snapped heads and make them flush with the flange. The problem is these bolts :/ But where I have gone at it for a few...

Has anyone ever had the problem of the drive flange on a rear axle with drums getting stuck.... I've had 3 heads snap of their bolts. 2 came out complete. I've used a big hammer & chisel in the gap between the drive flange and the rest of the hub, its moved a smidgen, but not really moving...

Bought some heavy duty drive flanges and a new wheel bearing for the back. The bolts holding the drivers side drive flange on are seized and one of the heads has snapped off. I can get 2 out, kinda hoping its the shank that has seized and I can just tap the drive flange off and undo the rest...

Anyone know if there are some conversion kits for the turbo hoses on a 200tdi disco engine. Mine are popped, one has been eaten by the alternator and the other is old and worn so small holes are appearing. Just wondered if there was a kit out there with hoses and air boxes to free that side up...

I think they have done the opposite to skoda in that they have produced a reputation for being unreliable, despite the fact that new models have a pretty good life span. The old ones have proved they do. It used to be a very British thing to have a land rover, very patriotic, but times change...

Just split my bottom Collant pipe. It got caught on the steering column, and a bolt ripped a hole in it :(
