Not a chance. Only a Disco driver would hit it at the right angle for that :p

Mud terrains - BFG or Cooper SST Pro

Very aggressive tyres lose knobbles and unbalance themselves in an instant. The greater overall mass of the tyre compensates. Tyre balance only really matters at speed on even terrain anyway. At low speed no effect will be felt, and terrain plays a far greater role in comfort and component wear.

    Finally got another Land Rover!

An apex is often good against wind, if you know where it's coming from.

Teen with a Land Rover problem

One of those Discos is bound to have a working brake system, and since you're running a 200Tdi already it should all bolt right on. Cut out a set of coil mounts while you're at it ;) Good luck. And welcome.

Not much in it. Go for whatever gives you the best sidewall protection for your budget.

If JM had a penny for every time he's explained this, he would never tell anyone to search the forum ;)

    Vibrations

When did you last flush your transfer case? And did you do it right? I know, but it's so easy to get wrong if you haven't done it in a while. It's the one on the flat back of the case, behind the handbrake drum, matching axle drain plugs. Flush it thoroughly (props off, drain, fill, turn over in...

Disco 1 300tdi Auto - what to swap for expedition..

Does the head gasket go like on a 200? On those it's 150k like clockwork.

    Vibrations

Give it time mate, and don't be surprised if not everyone feels super inclined to go through every bit on a Landy that can intermittently vibrate, although we can point you in the direction of a complete parts catalogue ;) Sounds like you're starting to marrow it down anyway, so good luck.

    Slug like.

Could be just clutch behaviour changing with age?

    Oh, well, start there then.

Gearbox bearings or seals. Hope it's not an engine bearing. Could be just something loose in your handbrake drum. Did you fix the air filter etc. down securely? Vibrations generally come with a sound, so see if you can walk around and look underneath with the engine running to narrow it down.

    Defender 90 galvanised project

Shape and colour? Presume condition is parts only, bare chassis, all parts present (inc. interior)? Location as user?

Defender 110 200Tdi mystery of the day

Hang on. You're going round roundabouts the wrong way then, right? My fuel needle dips when I go round a roundabout, but I'm going round the right way. Fuel sloshing up on the right when you go left then. Afaik no fuel sedimenter on a 'fender, so got to be in the fuel filter. Drain and bleed it?

    Running on one propshaft

So this is totally OK on a D1 too? Didn't feel too bad last time I had to do it, but just to be sure.

    Commercial d1

Don't know what you mean. I'm LEZ exempt last time I checked, probably because the joy (see also : impotent outrage) they bring to the beholder offsets any "dirtiness", real (mud) or perceived (it's actually a fairly efficient 2.5l diesel, nothing for anyone to get "all choked up" about).
