    Just buy a second hand one and throw it on, The first job I did since buying my defender was the clutch and considering I'd never really worked on one before it wasn't difficult, just get a good jack and a second pair of hands to help manuver it all in place.

    Has anyone started making these adaptor thingies yet as I'm struggling to come by a reasonably priced defender r380 at the moment so may have a stab at converting a disco box. If not I'll have to find a lathe and knock one out!

    Slow, unecononomical, impractical, maintainence hungry but very cool British icon. I can't imagine being without one though!

    which fuse is the one for the glow plugs that is located in the engine bay if looking at the fuse block from the front of the engine. The fuse that is blown would be the 2rd one, and the 1st one is missing altogether. Thanks

    I have just found a blown fuse in the engine compartment, and one missing entirely so I would say that could be a fairly good place to start. Always check the basics first!

    This has not been an issue but now were getting cold mornings its sometimes struggling to start. I have replaced the glow plugs as I figured they were probably due replacement but this has not cured the problem. I have put a volt meter on the glow plugs and they are not getting power. I think...

    I had this problem with mine and it turned out a bit of the lift pump had broken off and was occasionally preventing the diaphram from seating properly, so could be worth inspecting that if nothing else succeeds. check that the lift pump will prime up as mine wouldn't due to the bit breaking...

    Essentially on ebay there seem to be lots of springs and shocks removed from pumas going cheap so fancied putting them on my 300tdi 90. But looking into part numbers and stuff listed on suppliers websites part numbers change with the introduction of td5's. Anyone know wheter early stuff will fit...

    I am fed up with the back breaking ride in my 90 pick up with 2 inch lift and heavy duty springs. Therefore are looking to put this back to standard or even lowered an inch or so. A search has answered my first question about differences between 90's and 110's but not about different models...
