You do not need to change the bell housing, where do people keep getting this idea from? You either change the disco selector shaft for a defender one as the defender one is longer, or knock up an extension to save stripping the box. How I changed mine is in this thread...

Personally I'd just turn the diaphram 90 degrees. Takes 5 minutes and makes a massive difference with minimal fuss!
