I've not done it myself yet but I would say you need spring compressors (proper ones) cos even with it jacked fully you won't have enough room to get the cones in.
just out of interest have you got them yet? Which ones did you get?
I thought it might be turbo related, but I've not had chance to investigate further yet.
If it is turbo bearings is it terminal or can I live with it being noisy?

Yesterday I developed a new noise.. I don't like new noises :(
It sounds like dragging a heavy bag across a gravel drive.
It happens as you get to the top end of the revs. Either driving or stationary.
Any thoughts?

As many have said before if they really want it you can't stop them. But you can try and put them off and slow them down. And if the worst does happen at least you will feel you did as much as practical.
I hope it stays yours for many year ;)
