Suppose air filter isn,t clogged up? Also have you checked the breather? Simple things first then maybe valve guide seals if new grade of oil doesn't solve it.

Maybe brown and caprice?

I always crack the bleeds with the engine cold and stopped and then run it at tickover till the air seems to have escaped then stop the engine and tighten the bleeds. Main thing is to avoid any chance of being scolded!

Muddee will be about right - airlock - especially after you drained your system! If it's matrix blocked you usually get some degree of warmish air. Simple things first is the general rule! Good luck

Had a similar prob with outboard on ski boat after we rolled it in heavy seas! After lots of searching found the capacitor inside distributor was soaked causing intermittent shorting. Replaced it and all was ok. maybe????

Just fitted a Bosch Asia Silver 70 70ah 570A to mine - no mods to carrier bracket required with this new range. Other option is Banner Starting Bull 57072, also no mods. Won't set you back a packet neither!
