    Disco 2 Stubborn 3 amigos!!

no, my nanocom does not mix up the sensors. i had tested that by disconnecting one of them to make sure it throws the error on to the disconnected side.

    Disco 2 Stubborn 3 amigos!!

another interesting thing is that when i only replaced the left side hub (which was the only one giving an error on nanocom) nothing changed. after i replaced the right one too it fixed the problem. I suspect bearings from different manufacturers give slightly different signals which might be...

    Disco 2 Stubborn 3 amigos!!

The "old" ones were only a few months old when they started giving errors (britpart oem option). So i m guessing its the cheaper britpart design? Not sure , hopefully i remain 3 amigos free 🤣

Disco 2 Disco 2 shock bushes options?

In need of new shock bushes! Had replaced a few months ago for all makes but started cracking after a couple of months so not fitting those again. Genuine ones are out of stock or cost as much as new shocks (with the bushes included!) . Is there any sensible bushes options that would last more...

    Disco 2 Stubborn 3 amigos!!

So latest update, i have now replaced both front wheel sensors with the Moog bearings and sensors and have been three amigos-free for a couple of weeks, so im hopeful. I also replaced all the calipers and carrier pins. All calipers seemed in good condition. Only one of the rear carrier pins was...

Disco 2 Front hub/axle seal leaking

i agree, when i tried it is very hard to actually get the "tool" aligned properly so its almost impossible to do anything accurately.

Disco 2 Front hub/axle seal leaking

finally got around fitting the NAK seals. They were a lot harder to fit than the genuine ones. apart from the ID, even the OD is a little bigger so they need to be hammered in place. well at least they have been a couple of days leak free, which is more than the genuine ones

    Disco 2 Stubborn 3 amigos!!

tried another ecu and its the same, although tbh i have no way of knowing if ths is a good ecu or not, but behaved similarly. the wiring seems fine, i will try to replace the wheel hub. however im noticing squeaking from the brakes, im wondering if it has anything to do with it!

Disco 2 best place for fuel pressure sender on td5

so i set it up like this. there are no leaks (fingers crossed). have to say it was quite a squeeze, if i had to do it again, i would use a braided flexible hose to relocate the sender somewhere else:

    Disco 2 Stubborn 3 amigos!!

i had replaced only left side hub. when i unplugged the left side i immediately got an error for the left side. i just managed to obtain a slabs ecu for testing, im curious if the idle values will be the same, failure that i ordered a full set of calipers (i have an annoying squeaking/almost...

    Disco 2 Stubborn 3 amigos!!

when i get the 4 amigos, error is always the same: left front sensor output too low (intermittent)

    Disco 2 Stubborn 3 amigos!!

Since he last time, i havent replaces the sensor again yet but i did a quick bleeding (not used nanocom, maybe that was a mistake) and replaced the battery. Went for a 500mile+ trip with a mix of motor ways and offroading and no amigos, until the last day the amigos came back :( was looking at...

Disco 2 Replacing TD5 Crankshaft pulley

yes that is why i thought the pin is a great idea, it would allow me to use both hands on the torque wrench

Disco 2 Replacing TD5 Crankshaft pulley

looking at Rave manual it seems to suggest use of the lever rather than locking the flywheel :(

Disco 2 Replacing TD5 Crankshaft pulley

yes, i have seen it on discovery2.co.uk but locking the flywheel with the laser tool (i already have it!) would make it so much easier i recon

Disco 2 Replacing TD5 Crankshaft pulley

so was looking into replacing the crankshaft pulley as it started squeaking a bit and found this video: Instead of making up a tool to hold the crankshaft while undoing and tightening the pulley, this bloke just locked the flywheel. Is this safe or do i run the risk of damaging something...
