An update... Finally got round to changing the hoses for new silicon vacuum hoses and the same problem is still there. The vacuum is capable of holding the accelerator in position but not capable of actually pulling it down on its own so once the cruise reaches the set speed and eases off the...

Cheers Johno, Hadn't planned on fitting a roof rack, only two of us on the trip and it is a commercial so there is plenty of room in the back (i hope). If i discover i am short of space I guess a roof rack will have to be a last-min addition!
