If your car is turning over OK, then the battery is not being flattened by the RF receiver. I suspect your starting problem is elsewhere.

If it's being left in a garage with power, get a battery conditioner. It keeps the battery topped up, without overcharging it. Halfords have them for a few quid. :-)

Fuel at all petrol stations in a particular area comes from the nearest refinery. Any "differentiators" are added by the tanker driver before it is delivered to the forecourt. It would be interesting to know what "Shell Efficiency Improver combined with a special detergent package"...

Are you feeding the amplifiers from the speaker output of the head unit? If so, this would cause distortion. The amps are expecting a low level "phono" input.

I'm getting an average of 18.8 mpg with my 4.4 V8, according to the trip computer. Mostly town driving with the odd 300 mile round trip on A roads + Motorway.
