What type of tank for LPG?

Underslung tanks on the P38 might be quite a small volume, our P38 has the donut tank in the sp.wheel well and gives 82lts of useable gas which equates to 250 or so miles. If an Underslung tank can be fitted it might only give you 35-40 litres. This would also probably be a single hole tank, so...

    Coding list for the L322

Quick Google gave me a link to robisonservice .com which has a partial list? Might be generic though, it will be quicker to use diagnostic?

    Air susp inactive again

+1 L322 automatically locks when the trailer electrics are connected, and is lockable by the push button on the selector/ changer. If the Pump is getting hot I'll go with the others and advise that you get the soapy water out and have a good look around. Lastly is this the only message that...

    'gas, gas, gas'

Give Tinley Tech Cambridgeshire a call, I spoke to them about a OMVL rebuild awhile ago and I think they have a kit, or will be able to point you in the right direction, very helpful people.

    Hidden coolant leak L322 4.4

Don't know if you can give a radiator a certain life span - could depend on service history, coolant percentages and the like... I'd still check it if I were you - then at least its one less thing on the list of probables. Ours was a real pain, you could smell it but there was never a puddle and...

Random coolant spew on floor but never seen

+1 for both the thermostat hoses and water pump, if it's a Thor you might want to inspect the hoses that run down the LH side next to the alternator ours had a moment and the belt chewed into one of these and dropped coolant until all the pressure had gone, then stopped leaking until I got it...

    Hidden coolant leak L322 4.4

Hi Had the same smell of coolant but no drip, turned out the rad had become porous and was leaking into the fins, once the engine was on it just sucked it onto the front timing cover and there it evaporated! Check by looking at the rad through the viscous fan when cold and engine NOT having been...

Now this is a curiouis one...Coolant over pressure and overheat....

Do you think the o rings in the hoses could be a problem? Saw this on ebay.com 321265288203.

    Diagnostic System failures...confused!!

Hi Saint, just a thought, our L322 didn't want to speak to the Faultmate. Turned out there's a fuse that controls it - the OBD I think - sorry can't remember exactly where, its in the book and it was a couple of years ago and I've slept since then.

Now this is a curiouis one...Coolant over pressure and overheat....

Hi Saint, sorry its still playing up, for what its worth mine will hold pressure in the ET over several days, I have a 140 cap - which was a replacement for a 200. I would have thought that a HG would really push the coolant out as gases are very compressed from the action of the piston. I...

    Old M62TUB44 stat wanted please...

I'm not sure to be honest if it will help but it's a self contained thermostat in a housing. Not sure if it has extra outlets though?

    Old M62TUB44 stat wanted please...

If you've taken out the stat, have a look at Rimmer Bros website, you're looking for a 2 lt SD1 stat, this is self contained in the pipe work not bolted to the engine, might be useful if it fits the pipe. Sorry I don't have a part number.

L322 BMW V8 - Not another coolant leak ...and an oil leak for fun too

If your guy's OK with it - go with the recommendations on here and supply you own parts - and just pay him for the labour and the coolant?

    Big soggy carpet!

With regard to the carpet - unfortunately one piece, fitted before all the centre console and heater goes in. However, gently pop off the sill tread plates - from memory you'll also have to remove the front kick cover a post and the seat plinth finisher, big plastic L shaped gizmo and you may...

    Hidden coolant leak L322 4.4

Sorry, heater matrix / heater core same thing, if you have access to a IR thermometer it could save you some time, you'll be able to point it at the various hoses and hopefully get a reliable reading of their temperature. Maybe someone here with better computer skills can post a flow diagram of...

    Hidden coolant leak L322 4.4

I wonder if the heater matrix is causing this problem, do you know if both the flow and return hoses are the same temperature when your heater is going from hot to luke warm? obviously the matrix is a small radiator but the flow and return pipes should be similar temperature once shes up to...

L322 BMW V8 - Not another coolant leak ...and an oil leak for fun too

Do you think the undertray is masking the true location of the drip? If so maybe leave some cardboard underneath with the tray removed. If you've got the drip at the front, surely this lets the back pipes off if the car is level? I'm not too up on the block - but have we any core plugs on this...

L322 BMW V8 - Not another coolant leak ...and an oil leak for fun too

Apologies if you've tried this but my duff radiator caused an invisible coolant leak due to it weeping around the rad fins, this was completely masked by the superb action of the viscous fan which sucked any resultant coolant from rad and blew it as a fine mist form over the engine! Basically...

Noisy air suspension pump? Suspension advice?

The compressor carrier has isolation for the pump have you checked if one of them has given out? My compressor is somewhat noisy, but I put that down to it being in a cradle due to LPG system so I don't have a comparison for you but our P38 sounded horrible until I worked out I'd replaced the...
