I agree with slob on the rust problem, the chassis where your bump stops are looks bad to, be a good idea to get underneath with a screwdriver and have a good poke about. i think you were very lucky you dident shere the axle clean off, there looks a lot of metal fatige on the radius arm housing...

Is that still the original engine, must be getting close to 200,000 by now. as for the fastrac thats cheatin.

The only adjustment you can make is repositioning the hinge bolts, the door may have droped slightly. you can usually tell by eyeing up the door to the surrounding body panels. what sort of condition is the rubber seal in !!

on the balance of the front prop i'll get underneath mine tommorow and see if i can see what lines up with what. the rubber coupling on the back prop, diff end is easy enough to see if its in good nick or not. put a screwwdriver or a piece of flat bar in the back prop uj's and give them a little...

faulty ps box can cause the steering to go stiff, so hopefully the new one should short it out. have you checked the ps pump drivebelt ! are you sure its a eeaww rather than a grunt or moan !!

blimey yella disco thats good for 10 years, so its had a fairly jentle start to life. any idea what it was used for.

assuming the prop is o.k it could be down to just getting the right uj alignment to balance the shaft. i think there should be ailgnment marks on the two half of the shafts.

just a thought, when the steering uj's go you also get a lot of excessive play. does the steering feel stiff in any way. any vibration. is the power steering fluid clean ! just checking, no point shelling out for stuff you dont need.
