Mine was running on the cool side even in 30+ temps in the Canaries, took the stat out and found it was wedged wide open, yours might be doing the opposite, first port of call, check stat. Easy fix. Then rad, esp if it’s an old one
I’m in Argyll although I spend a lot of time on Bute, so could have a nice day oot, but my backs knackered, quite badly at the moment. Good luck with it anyway. 👍
Excellent, cheers, Ive installed it all now and tightened it down, should be fine, am well impressed with the quality, my last one was Exmoor which was much much thinner compared to this Allwheel trim one.
Morning all, I've just put a new Canvas truck cab top on the series, comes from All wheel trim and I'm delighted with the quality. Question is, is it best to tension down the rear flap while it shrinks or leave it looser? Last one I put on was when I lived in the Canaries where rain wasn't a...
Thanks Steve, thats useful. Info. I think the spring you are seeing is for the hand throttle. Think I’ve fixed it, see above, had a brainwave, which is beyond rare for me. Anyway, thanks everyone, a 12 mm spanner did the trick on that wee nut.
Right, solved it. Loosen up the wee nut as shown raise arm to pull up and increase the tension in da wire returning tension to where it should be. Retighten wee nut. Gave it a damn fine oiling as well. Sorted.
Yes, I get that. Just had a look at the pump end, which doesn't have any springs on it ☹️ weird! I reckon lack of tension is the issue but I can't see how to tighten the bugger up
Hi All, I've never had any probs with the throttles on any of my rovers..until now! The throttle cable is periodically popping out of the small bearing.. As per the 2nd pic... and I can't figure out why! Anyone had a similar issue, is it just wear I wonder?
1976 lhd Series 3 diesel
Lynall I was going to charge it up periodically from the hoose with a battery charger
Thanx Kevstar, i might go with a split charger get the garage to wire it in properly, one batts hardly enough..
