    I'd go 300tdi, in a couple years time you'll be really struggling for spares for a 200tdi as well as the difficulty of getting a decent 200tdi disco that isn't made of rust.

    £240? Bloody nora why get parts like that from a dealer? They're are the same thing I get for £8 at my local indy. That's bloody ridiculous, no wonder its a money pit if you get all your parts from a dealer.

    it might not make a difference to the problem it'll make a difference by wrapping you around a tree ALWAYS replace brake components in axle sets, otherwise one side of your vehicle stops better than the other, which obviously creates problems

    Aye or if you don't wanna grind em then just burn the locking rubber out of the nuts, makes it much easier. Careful undoing the top mounts, bad habit of snapping.

    aye i tried to adjust mine the other week and gave up, couldn't free the fecker, fire, wd etc nothing shifted it. dunno if theres enough to weld to to get it strong enough though. if you do it take some pics would be interesting to see if its workable on a standard bar.

    Engine Advice..?

    Yeah same here, they're known for making a racket when they let go but I've never heard of one actually damaging the camshaft. Do you know the dealer? Possibility that they are on the make? Either way I'd get a second opinion if they do say the cam needs work.

    A few issues - my 1st disco

    1- check fuses, if its not that then the fan its self is probably dead or bad connection 2- dunno 100% but if its the same as a 300tdi then its worth checking the connections on the back of your alternator, they could be loose/broken etc 3- get under your disco and watch all the bush joints...
