    Does this matter?

Can't see how it would make any difference except that the throttle opens and closes as before.

    Patmans Playtime Ramble - 25April2010

That text made me smile at the end of a very good day out. First lane we got stuck in is now on my self imposed TRO list as too badly damaged to get through without further damage. Our picnic spot was excellent for all the younger persons amogst us, who by the way were dead when their heads...

drop arm bolt keeps coming loose

The lock washer has to lock to the drop arm as well as the nut. I've done 2 of them in thelast years and neither have come loose on or offroad. Have you tightened the nut up to the daft torque that Land Rover require?

My 110 disco 200Tdi with defender transfer box cruises at 70 and will easily get to 80 for overtakes.... and 90mph was seen once for about 20 seconds before all the noise scared me :D

Safari Engineering near Yateley and Challenger 4x4 near Aldershot are the closest independant Landy places to Bracknell.

    Smoke Smoke Smoke

I had the same symptoms with a 200TDi upgrade I did for a mate a few months ago. It was the timing. I can swear hand on heart we put the new belt back in perfectly with all the tension in the right places and all the locking pins in. To alter and test this we removed the Injection Pump 3...

Challenger 4x4 in Tongham near Aldershot. The owner Paul and his mechanics are excellent on all Land Rovers.

    First time startup help help!

This happened on a friends 200Tdi we just finished. This is the quick, easy and "dirty" bodging method that requires the least amount of work to get it running. I adjusted the pump timing by: Remove the small circular plate on the timing cover (3 screws) in front of the Injection Pump (IP)...

TD air filter with 200tdi engine

Do you think Land Rover would have changed air filters for the 200Tdi if they didn't need to? The 200 is a lot more powerful therefore will require a lot more air, especially when the turbo cuts in. Want to strangle the engine?

Will this boil the clutch fluid?

I wrapped my exhaust downpipe with racing exhaust wrap to reduce the cabin heat and protect the starter motor and clutch pipe.

Bell housing prob for disco 200tdi into 90

I just tapped the blind holes in the disco lump and stuck a couple of bolts in them. I ran my conversion without the bolts for over a year on and off road with no problems.

Getting a bit 200 tdi biased are we now Pos?:D

    Is it worth changing......?

Yes it's worth it. It's easy as long as you put the new seal and the plastic carrier onto the crank correctly and push the new seal over the plastic carrier onto the crank. Then it's a matter of pushing the seal into place. I used the old seal to help push the new seal in square. To remove the...

    200TDi Temperature?

Don't know what the actual temp is but on Monday last it took me 3.5 hours to do the 25 miles home in stop start queues and without a rad muff the temp guage sat where it normally does. Unless the temp go down way below -10 I wouldn't even bother with one. And at -10 and below i would worry...

Turbo air filters stressing the engine

If the race air filter was £6 less than the Landy standard filter I would say that it won't filter anything, thus cause the engine to wear out much faster from particulate ingestion.
