PS yes and by OEM I mean from a stealer not people selling "OEM quality" or "OEM alternative"!

What did you do with your Range Rover today

It does - I can leave my car in a busy airport car park for weeks, under mobile phone masts - whatever - no battery drain whatsoever - sorted! When I first got it the battery would drain even with daily use.

    Range Rover Tyres

Cannot recommend GG ATs highly enough - brilliant winter tyres - great off road and perfectly good (and quiet) on road. Done 20,000 miles on mine so far and they still look new! PS these are on a P38.

    Chinese key fob

Indeed, my two year old OEM fob is already looking tatty and the buttons are starting to split, the 14 year old original fob is now in better shape than the replacement.

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Changed front discs and pads, bled the brakes (5 litres of DOT 5.1 through the system) one of the dust seals has gone on the front left caliper - should have changed them as i was intending to do! Oh well, better get a move on before the winter sets in.

    track rod taper joints

I've never had a problem with a ball joint - but then I use the right tools for the job.

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Again it's ALWAYS 4WD, by sliding the gearlever across you are putting the transfer box into low range - everything else remains exactly as it was.

    2.5 D Rear Propshaft

Felt a slight road speed related vibration, took the front (well geased) prop off. Mucho play. Replaced it - sorted. The warning signs are there if you care to look for them.

    what a waste

The first waste was wasting perfectly good money on a Discovery in a party dress instead of a proper Range rover - the second is trashing it through idiotic driving and even worse recovery!

    Steering pulling to the left

Did you get anywhere with this?

    Cut the blue wire!!!

Just buy a new rf receiver - problem fixed and working remotes + peace of mind.

Overheat - Am I missing something

LR are **** takers - but I was just pointing out the differential in cost of identical BMW-sourced parts was thanks to BMW nobbling Rover. No excuse for the ten years since though!

    Steering pulling to the left

The original post did say the car was pulling to the left BEFORE Bush touched it - has the car ever driven without the pull in your ownership? When did it start?
  16. StuckAgainSteve

Overheat - Am I missing something

BMW used to (internally) charge Rover more for BMW parts than they charged themselves - even during manufacture - not just at the dealers.
  17. StuckAgainSteve

    Steering pulling to the left

I told you what I thought was wrong with the car back on page 2, the first person to suggest the car has been tracked with some lock on. I still suspect this is exactly what's wrong - then three pages later you ask "By resetting the steering angle sensor do you mean refitting the steering wheel...

    Steering pulling to the left

Take your car to someone who knows what they're doing.

What did you do with your Range Rover today

If it's a Thor V8 then it's under the driver side exhaust manifold IIRR - a bit tricky to get to.

Does the BeCM and can the Nanocom....

+1 Looked through my BECM settings using my lynx and there was nothing in there to disable the central locking.
