Although its a pain in the arse having to do the head gasket its not that bad, I bought an engine in bits from an omega and had to build the whole thing up with no way of knowing if it was a good un, you do get the chance to replace the timing chains etc so it gives you assurance that its done.

Finally sorted, it was the thermal cut out. I put a new pump in and and its minted.

Its a fine looking car right enough, the seats look almost white and are gleaming goes well with the red carpet.

I replaced my engine with 1 from an omega over 2 years ago and I find it rather pish too, dont know if there is something wrong with it as I had no engine when I bought the RR so cant compare.

I paid £23 for the very same

Anyway thanks for the advise I will have a look at it next weekend and if i get stuck, let me rephrase that, when I get stuck I will be back on here.

Is the thermal switch actually inside the compressor?

This was also done when the car was purchased only a few months ago, having driven another 300tdi that went like stink compared to it, it is annoying especially when i drive it. As for the turbo pressure compensator where on the pump is it?

An update on the problem; after replacing the drive box for a new 1 i still have the same problem; the pump wont come on unless the relay is taken out and i bridge it just to pump the car up to a descent height, it has no fault on the dash so I am clueless as what to do next.

I`ve got this problem too, had it for a while but i think my steering damper is way over due being replaced. I know what you mean by being made of elastic bands its like someone steering in a movie.

Checked them, they only have cranked 1s for a 2" lift

Wher can i get standard trailing arms for a 95 disco? My in-law came in today saying the car was all over the road upon checking the osr trailing arm has sheered at the top.
