In the original post you said the blue wire made the temp guage go up and down when earthed?! Can only be temp sender connection? had PO routed it round for some reason and connected to said green wire?

As above - look for land rover 90 or 110. Insurance for me - not using any no claims as there on the other motor - is just over £200 (im 35, no accidents claims etc)

Its a personal preference - spots look more Landy - but thats just my opinion. I think you can get that 6x with the wiring kit for an extra tenner on fleabay. Plus, on the photo of the lightbar on the front of the "Sheriff" car - it looks quite small.

Yes - thats too much movement. Check the splines on the bottom on both the shaft and box and the that the system is bled prop. After that you can try tightening the box using the allen key screw on top of the box - IIRC clockwise turn, try a 1/4 turn at a time - dont over tighten. All else...
