Not familiar with the 300 but I assume it is belt driven - haven you checked that to ensure its tight, perished etc?

I use both the jack that came with mine, which some refer to as a high lift - but I dont, its a LR jack. The high lifts have the pins and you pump it up and down. I use my "LR jack" in the style of a high lift which you turn the top with a spanner.......big difference, same title.....although...

dont forget a little copper grease before the breaker bar tightening - it may need to come back off if its not that!!!

I got a sheet of horse stable matting and lined the floor with that - easy enough, looks a bit rough but it dont half take away road sound - mine has no interior trim at all though :rolleyes: so was easy and doesn't look out of place.

What?! Your meant to drive em too? I get the same question, mostly at work - same answer "drives like crap, always breaking, destroys all drive ways, cant rely on it as a daily drive, Mrs refuses to drive it" - then my smiley face comes out, defo recommend one......wouldn't have anything else...
