I'm sure there will be better replies but I can tell you they were long wheel base series 11a's painted pink for use by special forces in the desert. They were open topped and were covered in kit and guns and stuff.

I can imagine if offical production stopped, then a lot of homebuilt landys might appear that have been built out of parts. I know I would consider it if there was no sensible replacement for the defender.

I don't know if anyone else has thought of this but it might be that the brake on the transmission has seized. If it has you may have to gently **** the drum with a soft hammer or remove the prop shaft so the vehicle can be moved. Hope this helps, David.

How about an impressive 0.24 seconds? My average is about 10 seconds but when I was using my mobile phone I got to 18 seconds. On this hard evidence, doya reckon I can press the govunment to drop the driving on the mobile ban?

Damn sure! There isn't a more hideous looking landrover out there apart from a Gaylander in full ballet body kit. It's all flat panels, angles and horrible shaped truck cabs.
