ive done the box section aswell but ive cut the inner and out lip aswell as some of the floor was in poor state aswell. when box put into placed and line up ive sheet metal and drilled it along the edge that would sit on top of the box section and puddled weld it. just need to finsh the end...

this morning was fitting plastic wheel arch after finshing off the much needed welding,then checked wheel over and found the bearing had play so fixed that only to find out i had play at hands 9-3. ive been informed thats it my track rod ends which have play in them. think i better order...

after fitting both box sections for sills im now doing the front wheel arches to floor. overall everything going to plan.

replaced the battery tray,also did front of the wheel arch.back on with it tomorrow

after finally getting the passenger wing sorted (forgot to take pics) this morning i started the drivers side. well removed wing and heres the mess :eek: still at least it s fixable. just waiting for descent weather now

you will find must bits that you have mentioned will need mild steel welding wire.my disco as been similar repairs and ive never touched alluminium yet. put up your location as someone might live close by and maybe able to help you for some beer tokerns. ive you do buy a mig idealy you need...
