yeah I think is deff going to be my new purchase .. and think I will go for the 20 ton over the 12 ... having the right tool makes doing any job so much easier .... :)

Hi all ,, bit of an update today .. I fitted the HD track rod , I removed the old one and matched the length of the new HD to it , I was then going to try to set the tracking myself .... but thought better of it , took her in at my local tyre place where I know the guys , they were happy to...

Im thinking that I will invest in one after Christmas , £100 seems like its justifiable for the trouble it would save .... Had I used a press yesterday for the wheel bearings it would have made the whole day a lot easier .. lol...

Sounds good , could have done with that today lol .. such a pain doing wheel bearing with studding , my impact wrench ends up stripping all the threads ..

saying that , I just found some on fleeBay pretty reasonable .. :) i know if I get it I won't need a press for years ... lol..

yeah , I dont have an awful about of space either, ... id like the 20 , but they seem to jump up a fair bit in price from 12 to 20 ... will have another look ..

I bought the Dewalt 899H , this thing is a monster , it wasn't cheap but worth every penny .. all the reviews rate them as the best out there .. im so glad I bought it .. I havnt found anything it cant undo , I even use it for removal and refit of wheel bearings .... def buy another

sorry yo hear that ... My tracking is / was out and I knew that the clamps and the ball joints would be either seized or a real pain to free up ... so I thought id just replace the lot with the heavy duty stuff .. so today I straightened up the steering wheel , I had to come out 1and half...

yeah it is .. thats pretty much what I did , didnt want to over do it , nor wanted it too loose ... its the first one I have done If I over did it im guessing the rubbers will end up splitting ?
