    Hand brake question

Hello All, MOT time again and got a fail on handbrake efficiency and reverse travel of lever. I just tried to adjust it up and it is better but not sure it will pass. I had similar issue 2 years back that was caused by the hand brake cable stretching on one side due to heat from a stuck...

    L322 2007 Air Suspension Issue

What is seen in 4x4 display? This will show where the ECU thinks the wheels are. If a height sensor is at fault and the car thinks a suspension arm is lower than it actually is it will let the air out of each other corner to match. This is only a basic analysis without diagnostic.

    L322 2007 Air Suspension Issue

If you are being advised not go above 30mph it is likely more than just a calibration issue. If you go into the 4x4 display on the dash is one wheel showing higher or lower than the rest? If not is the suspension completely deflated?

    Rear height sensor

Is that not the rear left wheel?

    Rear height sensor

I put one of the above on my 2006 TD6 L322 after same issue, I thought it was a wiring repair I made but it was a duff sensor. Checking the wiring with multi meter pointed to the sensor. I think some of the aftermarket sensors can but put on either side so it is possible to put it on upside down...

    Rear height sensor

    OP says 3 wires above

    Rear height sensor

Test the wiring with a multi meter, you should have three wires yellow/brown should have 5volts, yellow/black is earth to ECU so you get 5v between it and yellow/black. You also should have continuity between yellow/black and the metal work of the car. The final wire is yellow/gray, that takes...

    Odd suspension fault

Finally got time to look at this today, tested with a multi meter and the wiring is sound. Plugged in an old on side rear sensor and the car likes it so have to conclude it is a bad sensor. New off side sensor on order so should be sorted shortly Thanks all for your input

    Odd suspension fault

The back goes up quickly but far to high, the display shows it down on the back corner so the car keeps pumping it up to try to compensate. Although now I deflated the suspension the 4x4 display is showing it at full extension hence the thoughts on reversed wires. I have the spare I guess I...

    Odd suspension fault

I only bought second hand sensor to get the rod, I soldered everything back up and taped the broken rod and it worked fine in and out of the shed before I changed the rod so thought the sensor to be ok. I will check the wiring, my eye sight isn't what it used to be and I find most things are in...

    Odd suspension fault

Thanks for the reply Datatek, I haven't had the sensor off just the rod between the wish bone and sensor. The car has been fine since Christmas when I put it back on the road just performed this odd action the other day. The sensor arm points away from the centre of the car towards the wheel...

    Odd suspension fault

Further to the above I had to get car out of shed, backed it out, backend up in the air still. On parking I deflated the suspension and on the 4x4 display all the wheels went up to the top except the rear right which went to the bottom. Does anyone know if you reverse the yellow brown and...

    Odd suspension fault

Hello All, Sorry in advance for the long post..... My two terriers decided there must be a rodent under my 2006 L322 TD6 whilst it was in the shed having the rusty wheel arches repaired. Upon putting it all back together had a suspension fault and found all three wires to back off side height...

    L322 bluetooth module pinout wiring

Hello, I have 2006 L322 which suffered water damage to BT module. I found info on how to use the one out of a later year sport. The new one reads the address book on the phone and doesn't require pairing each time you get in the car. I haven't got the part number and pin out handy as car is off...

    Range rover nightmare.

Hello, mine, same age and model failed on brake pipes all round last year, yes they do run down the passenger side then over the rear axel. I did it without ramps, not too bad a job but you do need to do a lot of crawling about under the rear axel. The ends of the rear pipes are flexi with steel...

L322 better but still not perfect HPFP?!

Sorry Steven I was a bit vague earlier, the sensor is MAP (Boost Sensor) which measures the pressure in the inlet manifold see above, you will probably have to take the manifold off to get to it, you will see the lead and plug on the back of it once the manifold is free of the engine. Hope that...

L322 better but still not perfect HPFP?!

Just chucking in my experience, I had a rough idle on mine after I had issues with non start due to a blocked high pressure pump. We had used easy start, yes I know, this seemed to dislodge a lot of crap in the air inlet manifold. There is sensor at the back and this was covered is sludge, I...

    2006 L322 3.0 TD6 suspension

No problem Goldrover, if anyone stumbles on this looking for help I can confirm part taken off is RQH500431 and the part fitted is LR02026. The original LR sensor has 6 pins but the plug on my 06 only has the three wires shown in RAVE. The new sensor only has the corresponding 3 pins. MOT this...

    2006 L322 3.0 TD6 suspension

Jesus, that looks like whole lot of fun, hopefully get the wire spliced today, I think I can pull it back into the engine bay to get access to it. Thanks for the info on the sensors, I found the part number on the old one, LR put it on the top on the face you can't see whilst it is bolted to...
