    Gearbox Prob

Basicly the gearstick should sit between 3rd + fourth when in neutral and is centralised by an upright plate with a spring on each side, this is bolted to the top of the gearbox and you get at it from inside the car by taking the center console out and removing the metal cover on the top of the...

    Gearbox Prob

does the gearstick sit to one side rather than the center when in neutral as there a bias plate with a spring each side which can often snap causing difficult gear selection.

What v8's have the liner/overheating problems

As above really,is the problem limited to a certain size engine or is it the v8's in general? was talking to somebody today about p38s and he said the 4.6 was the worst one for the problem so i was wondering if theres any truth in this.

    Early 90 or Early Disco

Disco's will be cheaper than 90's to buy which if you shop around will leave you money to do repair's or upgrade tyres/shocks ect to get to the standard you want.

    Radio in Discovery

The plugs are a pain in the arse but i found on the rangie theres a sort of "cut out" under the consle where the back of the radio needs to sit and with the longer cage it sent the radio into the dash on a slightly different angle causing it to miss the cut out.If that makes sense:confused:

    Radio in Discovery

Its the same on the up to 93 range rover, the radio itself wasn't shorter but the security cage that hold it in place was.theres just a standard rover radio/cassette in my rangie from a rover 216 and i had the cut the cage down to 1/2 its size to get it to sit right down in place.
