On the chassis is the way to go

The heat reflective sheet and tape arrived today so that'll be fitted soon, good for over 500C or 1000F so that should do the trick with a bit of luck. I'm also considering moving away from the wood look on the doors, dash and centre section around the gearchange, i'm contemplating doing...

Here's a couple of photos of my old airbox, still serviceable but not good enough to fit to my project. Phil at Twenty Ten has found a bottom section thats in perfect condition so i'll be using that

The board was cleaned etc and looks in superb condition, everything worked before replacing the battery so hopefully everything is as before bar the risk of a leaky old battery.

New battery is fitted so fingers crossed it all still works

Its cracked around where the red dots are and been fibre glassed back together. I'll get some photos on Monday

Got a box full of bits all for the engine bay to be stripped and powder coated satin black and the new battery is soldered onto the seat ECU pcb. I'm also after the EAS height sensor links and a replacement airbox as in the photos if anyone knows of any

Those wheels and tyres are just to get the chassis mobile, these genuine 5 spokes will be fitted after they have been refurbed along with new tyres

Chassis is pretty much finished, time to unravel the loom !!

Air suspension control box is re built and back on the chassis and the air lines are being fitted. The air bags work :)

Here you go, my guys replaced the sills and rear cross member before taking the body off the chassis

Don't worry mate, i'll have a bash at mine, how hard can it be ? i used to do stuff with sticky back plastic watching Blue Peter a few years ago :D
