Thanks blackhadder i'm doing me bestest! Though im going to have let ya down on the pictures today as just not enough daylight time left to get some shots. I did however get chance to have a go on a plasma cutter today  for anyone who thinks ive just started talking about something from...

    turns over but no firing

Ok so the light should stay out whilst driving, can you confirm that you do have remote central locking, if so is it a single button for unlock and lock or is there 2 buttons one for each? Also how many handsets do you have? Ok atleast this rules out the belt, if your not sure a small finger...

    turns over but no firing

If this small amount of grease causes the belt to slip then the belt if is not tensioned correctly or the belt has had it.. regardless of belt..vehicle...purpose...

    turns over but no firing

Haha! yes take your land rover through mud, water and heavy mixtures of the two but grease on the belt and it may blow up!! Wd would be worse as this will dry very quickly and make it worse although would identify the noise, you wont find a can of "belt dresser" in a garage that...

    turns over but no firing

Is the light flashing rapidly or like once every 30 seconds or so? Is it a belt screaming ? They often do this on start up if so try a bit of grease on the belt (make sure engine off when applying the grease hehe) If this stops it ideal if the belt is cracked or the screaming keeps returning...

Ideal cheers stu although think im going to stick with genuine sills possibly with some slight reinforcements (just in case) as either way id like my sliders attached strongly to the chassis and keeping the sills, body tucked away in safety and like to keep to genuine where I see its adequate...

Discovery Rust - Boot, Sills and Wings

Too late now :D only joking, cheers for the fix will go back a catch up on what i missed :D You lot have got me hooked on 'ere! Although helped a chap today and saved him from ripping his dash board out and all sorts for the sake of disconnecting the battery for 30seconds! Nice feeling!

Glad to hear it! Basically what this operation was doing was fooling the vehicle into thinking the last time the battery was connected it was mobilised rather than immobilised. Glowplugs are an aid and will very very rarely be the issue of non-start i infact start my engine right away without...

If you have a key fob (central locking) check make sure you unlock the car with that the red light on dash should stay out if it is flashing whilst you try to turn the engine then something is up. If you do not have a key fob or believe it is not working correctly try, unlocking all doors but...

Blackhadder - In all honesty I will say the main reason I fitted the lights was as I say I have wanted a disco for many years and in my head it had to have lots of lights, and of course what Paul D said... thanks for helping me out of a hot spot there btw! And we all know what a hot spots not...

Ok let the picture reading begin! First mod was roof lights, probably the least essential bit of kit I needed but something I feel a must with Discovery's, thats the show off in me. Didn't take any pictures during the fitting however very very simple. Place light bar on roof in water gulleys...
