You are only using such a small amount that its only thinning the oil slightly in the cold as the oil thickens

Hi nice to here. In running new veg oil mixed 30% derv and 70% oil the engine sounds a lot quieter and smoother but does like a little bit of glow plugs when it cold but i starts instant. Plus theres a lovely smell when i stop and well from behind as a mate was following me said politely

All depends on how much stress the diff is under sometimes you might not need to reverse

You can push it over to the left to in-gauge diff lock when your in either hi or low. But after you disengage diff lock you have to reverse a meter to take the stress from the gears.
