Why are people fitting these ? Plenty of other things you can do to a TD5 to improve performance

Look at the belt - the fan will turn as soon as the engine turns. Take the fan off, it's no bloody good on a TD5

Had a similar problem - faulty bag, send it back, you wont be able to adjust it, just get a replacement, they may moan initially but stick to it.

I didn't think the TD5 injectors had too many problems except for the washers and O rings. What symptoms do you have that make you think the injectors are at fault ?

Folks - just had car on diagnostics for the ABS lights but also had the following code logged, "135 - Engine speed input signal dubious". Now the whole car is a touch dubious but does anyone know what has caused this error ? Thanks Chris

Does anyone know what grade of oil to use in the front and rear diffs on a 1952 Series 1 ? Is it possible to use a synthetic 75W/90R grade as this is the spec for my Discovery TD5 and it would save having two different grades of oil in the shed ! Thanks

I agree with Shifty - I'm on my third oil cooler, the second was my own fault as didn't have enough anti-freeze in her.

Enjoyed throwing the top nut in the bin and leaving it there when I finally managed to get it off. No intention of putting anything back on the stud ! Some discussion on the forums suggesting this may not be wise but there are two bots holding the motor and one stud so I will take my chances.
