    SRS light staying on??

As said check all connections BUT the light can only be switched off with either LandRover Testbook or a Hawkeye as its a safety feature and the fault must be cleared and checked before it will allow the light to go off. I do not believe any other diagnostic computer will do it - I had the same...

local garage has fooked my propshaft

Try them for a new VCU plus bearings and an option on the cv joints either end if the turn out to be noisey or not feel right. Tell them you will be kind to them and not insist on a brand new one from Landrover but an exchange from Bell Engineering - better still ask them for compensation of...

    photo of my nightmare freelander

Mine has passed all MOTs without advisories. They are not a car for drivers who ding have a feel for things mechanical but if maintained and things done when they first arise they are a good car.

    2 stroke oil in diesel

It may take a few tankfuls of fuel for it all to settle down - the ECU needs to learn the new "map" - I found mine improved with time and after the initial over enthusiastic right foot!

    IRD Driveshaft Wobble

Update Took it to a fairly local indie and told him the story (thank goodness quotes are free or there would be an hours bill there!!!) He said start it up and then said he heard a slight hunt at start up! Thinks it could be sensor wire related so he is going to hook it up on Testbook next...

    Local mechanic

If the rear Tyres are stepped its a sure sign of the VCU going not tracking. You can remove the prop without a blanking plate - unbolt the front and rear couplings then drop the VCU bearings and the whole lot comes off in one piece - heavy though and the VCU is best supported on axle stands as...

    Steering pulls to the left

Have you got the same Tyres on both wheels? Have you kerbed it hard anytime? Any leakage from the front struts? You may need to go down the ball joints etc route.

Bell Engineering will do a free check on a those component - they are in Worcester but well worth the trip as they are probably the best in the business on these. They have a website - Google Bell Engineering and look for the Land rover references.

    New clutch for my TD4

I had my flywheel from eBay but it was a good make - LUK perhaps - anyhow it was £330 instead of really silly money. Update found photo I took at time.

It started fine all through the winter as well.

    New clutch for my TD4

Yes about right - I sourced my own parts and used a good local garage - one man band who is good and it cost £650 all in. That was new Dual Mass Flywheel as well and clutch complete and also slave cylinder. If yours is just clutch then it's expensive.

    Td4 injectors

Believe it or not mine started fine like this and ran ok - fuel economy was not brilliant and you could detect a slight fluffing. Replaced injector and all was well - just got other faults to deal with!

    Td4 injectors

Probably my home made rig - if you are anywhere near West Wales you would be welcome to come over and I will check them. Making a rig is easy though - syringes from eBay - I got 60ml ones but ones around 40ml would be fine as well - as you will see - one of mine was way out.

    IRD Driveshaft Wobble

Ok getting the Gearbox tie rod off was easy - it looked fine - no signs of fatigue - I put a couple of strips of rubber extra in them to see what happens. All back together and it is the same aaaarrrrggggghhhhhhh I do notice that it's worse if the belly pan is off but its still there with it...
