most likely a leaking back injector, give it a spray of easy start and see if it fires, if it does take it for a spin and see if it runs fine, then switch off and see if it will start if not then do a search on leaking injectors

If its a TD4, more likely to be a split intercooler hose, do a search on here about checking them

As props are balanced then it should not really matter, the reason they say mark them is to allow for any wear but that normally is not a issue. As for lining front and back props when the VCU is engaging it will change the relationship between the front and back sections anyway

What engine and do you get any issues when in neutral and revving the engine. As you have a loose gear stick then don't think it will be the IRD, more likely a gearbox or clutch issue.
