Not just old Land Rovers, all cars required 'Brake Pads or Shoes, Clutches'.........HSE as it was in those days advised not to use air lines to blow out dust during servicing, which many ignored anyway. Early heat insulation wrapping for exhausts also had an asbestos content for obvious reasons.

Birma-brite requires the etch primer(basically an acid) to provide a key for subsequent coatings. If you run your thumbnail over it in a day or so you will find it will start to flake off the bare metal parts.

No more painting barbed wire now, you will have to strip the bonnet back to bare metal and start again or you can wait a week and the paint will fall off by itself. I'll PM you a site with detailed professional instructions.:)

Oh no you didn't.......look at the bottom right corner, where the light is reflecting....not feathered! Did you use etch primer on the bare bit's first?

try long nose pliers, it looks like the bayonet type clip, but ca canny, or ye'll have some ither broken bits in wi the dropped thingy :)

So how do you do it, rapid mental arithmetic, counting seconds over distance covered, acute spatial awarness? Seriously i'm interested, because 50mph in one of my Series vehicles feels totally different to 50 in my Audi A8, so it can't be calculated from the noise and vibration. Can it?:confused:
