    To summarise the responses so far........don't do it. Nobody doubts the ability and comfort, but for remote locations they do not have the required reliability.

    I will refrain from commenting on the choice beyond saying that having previously driven and owned a number of RR's I could have gone bankrupt trying to keep them on the road. How severe is winter in your area, the majority of RR's and drivers in Uk are lucky if they ever see more than a couple...

    Serious Juddering Pulling away in First gear

    I had similar issue with Series 111, assumed drive shaft/suspension because it only happened at low speed...........turned out to be a stuck brake shoe, at low speeds felt like the nearside front wheel was trying to come through the top of wing..................can you hear anything rubbing?

    Yep owning a Series vehicle is exactly like gambling.........you can never recover your stake, but keep throwing money at it.;)

    First point is the vehicle you have purchased is right hand drive, which on german plates on a british motorway would catch the attention of the most short sighted traffic cop. If you chose to drive anyway, how would you get on driving on wrong side of road, left hand gearchange in a vehicle...

    One option is to use a registered trade plater to get it to the port/point of departure from UK............but then what? The cost would be more than what was paid for the vehicle.:eek:

    You could try and stick it back on Ebay..............untaxed vehicles are liable to be impounded and crushed in the UK if caught using them on the Queens Highway. Looks like the trailer option.

    I am sure you can get the equivalent of our green card cover in Germany from your insurer and better request international recovery cover. The trailer option may be the better way to go, driving an unfamiliar Series III purchased on Ebay down our motorways would not be high on my list of fun...

    How bigs the horse box?.......for 2k you will get a good, sorted Series III, no fancy electronics to mess with/go wrong and doesn't cost much to fix when it does.
